Coming Soon

...and by soon, I mean in the way a procrastinator would use that word.
  • General opinion of the Obama, Biden, and Pelosi ilk.
  • The global warming hoax.
  • Healthcare "reform"

  1. Robert, thank you for your comment on my sermon "Will Not Be Tested Beyond Your Strength." The scripture is speaking towards our being able to overcome temptations. God will not allow us to be tested in regards to temptations beyond our strength, and in our temptations God will give us a way out. I believe in one part of the sermon I did refer to "trials", but meant that to be in regards to the trials of what the temptations bring to our lives.
I can understand what you are saying about people experiencing ordeals in their lives that are beyond their strength, and how that leads some to insanity or suicide. I am glad to hear that you have not chosen the path of suicide, since life is precious and there is so much that God can do in and through our lives, even as broken as they are.
There is a wonderful verse in Isaiah 43:2 which says, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze." I have known many people who have been raped, abused, tortured, and other horrible ordeals who have given themselves over to God and the help of others, and are now living a strong, productive life. This does not mean that the pain has gone away, but they are able to experience the joy of God's PRESENCE and LOVE in their lives in the midst of the pain.
I hope this helps in some way. I did not mean in any way to imply that there aren't some situations that push people beyond their limits. I do believe that with God's help, and the help of trusted friends, we can walk through these situations and the negative result they have brought into our lives. May God's blessings be with you.
